Chelsea Manalo returns to alma mater De La Salle Araneta University

Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo on Tuesday graced the halls of her very own alma mater, De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU).

Donning a green dress, the Bulakenya beauty queen made a grand homecoming and was welcomed with loud cheers and warm hugs from the Lasallian community.

Chelsea finished her senior high school and earned her bachelor's degree in tourism management in DLSAU.

“Maraming salamat po sa inyo. It still feels so real. Everyone asks me how does it feel. I don’t know how to say it but to see these people, these children, these kids, my professors, it feels so real now to me na finally I’m back as Miss Universe Philippines in my alma mater,” Chelsea said.

During the short program, Chelsea was asked questions about her pageant journey, and her student life in DLSAU.

“The best part of being a Lasallian is always being humble and always being reminded of God. To always keep your faith and be hopeful,” the Lasallian beauty queen said.

She also showed her iconic walk which she now calls the “Tampisaw Walk.”

Chelsea was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2024 in May.

In a recent episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Chelsea talked about dealing with bashers and how she almost quit the Miss Universe Philippines pageant due to a lack of resources.

Aside from Chelsea, other crowned queens are Alexie Brooks of Iloilo, the Miss Eco International Philippines; Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province, Miss Cosmo Philippines; Tarah Valencia of Baguio, Miss Supranational Philippines; and Cyrille Payumo of Pampanga, Miss Charm Philippines.
